Wasit State Company for Textile Industries, one of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals State Companies concluded a contract to supply Beret sewing machines at a value of (29313) Euro at (120) performance days. A spokesman at the company clarified to MIM information bureau that this and other contract to supply laboratories equipments for Weaving and Textile plant at a value of (237150) Euro at (120) performance days are to support the company production lines and to fulfill the company commitments towards the contracts concluded with the Ministry of Defense. The spokesman added that the company announced a tender to supply weaving plant with cotton yarns at (51/1) size at (100) tons quantity the tender is still under consideration and announcement further more a tender to supply with operation equipments for socking section and purchase electric wagon for weaving plant. The spokesman referred that the obstacles which hider productive process are electric cutoff over flooding the local market with imported bad and cheap goods therefore the company under took necessary procedures to supplies the local market and compete the imported goods. It is to be noted that the company formerly performed rehabilitation and upgrading works that included a tender to supply different sewing and cutting out machines at a value of (150) million I.D. and industrial and operation materials at a value of (393) million in addition to internal circular weaving machines at a value of (338) million I.D..
