The State Directorate for Industrial Development, one of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals State formations issued (145) establishment licenses for new industrial projects through June, 2010. A spokesman at the Ministry clarified to MIM information bureau that that the projects were distributed on various industrial sectors (food stuff, textile, and wooden, paper, chemical, and plastic, construction, metal industries, transformational). The spokesman added that The State Directorate for Industrial Development issued (23) completion certificates for provisions-efficient industrial projects while the directorate cancelled (24) licenses due to legal expiry date and the directorate issued (1010) recommendation letters addressed Municipal and Real Estate Department at Iraq provinces to allocate areas of land for industrial projects. On the other hand the directorate continuous survey on for industrial projects so that the total numbers of the survey are 321 industrial projects in all provinces. The State Directorate for Industrial Development previously reviewed a number of its achievement through the first 4 months of 2010, these activities were represented in performing 74% of rehabilitation program to gain ISO certificate which included rehabilitation contract with Baghdad University Consultative Engineering Office with preparing work guide.
