State Company for Petrochemical Industries, one of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals State Companies signed with Dar Al Marefaa private company for petrol and engineer supplies founding contract to establish a plant for Chlorine and caustic soda. Mr. Hussein Mahdi Hussein the company General Director clarified to MIM information bureau that this project is considered as strategic which will achieve 15% rate of annual incomes for the company as well as the value of leasing the area which will establish the project on it in addition to employ (120) employees of the company to work in this project. He added that the annual production capacity for this project of chlorine is (13200) tons and (18540) tons of caustic soda as well as converting these products in to other items such as Hydrochloric acid at (16500) tons per year capacity and Hypochlorite Sodium at (13860) tons per year.
