Summary on Sector work:

Textile Industries Sector is concerned with following-up and supervising seven State Companies as well as Baghdad Furniture Factory which is administratively in dependant in putting and executing the annual production and marketing plans of the companies, and help handling the administrative and technical work obstacles and affairs, the sector also supervises partnership and investment with Arab and Foreign Companies.
The Sector Companies are:

  1. State Company for Cotton Industries.
  2. Wasit State Company for Textile Industries.
  3. State Company for Textile Industries/Hella.
  4. State Company for Ready Made garmats /Mosul.
  5. State Company for Leather Industries.
  6. State Company for Woolen Industries.
  7. State Company for Hand Made Carpets.
  8. Baghdad Furniture Factory.

Sector Action Mechanism ( Function)

  1. Monitoring the performance of the Sector companies for improving the efficiency of the implementation of the production and marketing plans.
  2. Preparation of monthly reports of the performance of the Sector companies to identify deviations and suggest the appropriate solution.
  3. Supervise the preparation of the investment file for the Sector Companies and working to find investors from International and Local Companies.
  4. Promote the competitiveness and development of the sector Companies
  5. Supervise the preparation of the rehabilitation and modernization plans of the companies from different financial sources.
  6. Approving the annual plans of the companies.
  7. Organize the manpower in the companies coordinating with the Administration Directorate - Ministry of Industry.
