Functions and duties
The next face requires laying down an action plan for the economic department's functions and duties to cope with the Ministry objectives in a orienting the industrial activity so as to suit the industrial policies and the state objectives the department works on the following points:-
- Developing the company works on economic sense to increase the industrial sector contribution in gross Iraqi national products.
- Assisting in all economic means to turn the industrial activity to the private sector to evaluate this experience towards full success.
- Sponsering results of economic and technical feasibility studies for industrial projects and evaluate the spent allocations performance.
- following up all kinds of loans and grants for the affiliated companies.
- Calling up on all companies to adopt transparency principles in all economic and financial activity.
- Increasing personnel efficiency in trade and financial sections of the companies through organizing training courses and seminar.
- Increasing cultural awareness for economic reform process and privatization with all available means (conferences, seminars, courses…..).
- Combating administrative corruption through following up and applying rules and laws and instructions of financial and commercial operations especially local and foreign purchase processes.
- Explaining non-efficiency features in companies and traditional management due to state sector control that led to accumulated losses and low productivity and productive capacities halt.
- Arousing over employments phenomenon in the companies and ways of treatment
